20th IAP PG Quiz Held at MLB Medical College, Jhansi; Dr Abhishek Mehta and Dr Mahipal Emerge Victorious

The 20th IAP Postgraduate Quiz was successfully organized on Saturday at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College (MLBMC), Jhansi, under the joint aegis of the Department of Pediatrics, MLB Medical College, and the Jhansi Academy of Pediatrics. The competition was held in the Department of Pediatrics Seminar Hall, where postgraduate students showcased their knowledge, clinical acumen, and academic excellence.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr Sapna Gupta, President, Jhansi Academy of Pediatrics. The Chief Guest, Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Principal, MLB Medical College, Jhansi, encouraged the participating teams and highlighted the importance of academic competitions in strengthening the quality of medical education and promoting a culture of excellence among postgraduate students.

Prof. Nutan Agrawal, Dean, MLB Medical College, also interacted with and guided the participants and presented certificates to the winners.

Prof. GS Chaudhary, Head of the Department of Pediatrics and National Quiz Coordinator, IAP, emphasized that quiz competitions test not only knowledge but also quick decision-making, clinical reasoning, presence of mind, and confidence.

Dr Abhishek Mehta and Dr Mahipal emerged as the winning team in the competition. The victorious duo will now represent Jhansi at the Divisional Round to be held in Agra.

The quiz was conducted by Quiz Masters Dr Aradhana Kankane and Dr Nupur Pandey. The event was attended by senior faculty members and postgraduate residents of the Department of Pediatrics, along with Dr Om Shankar Chaurasia, Dr Anuj Sethi, Dr Kavalpreet Chhabra, Dr Deepak Singh, Secretary, Jhansi Academy of Pediatrics, and Dr Taranpreet Bhusari, Treasurer, among others.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Deepak Singh, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, participants, and organizers for their valuable contribution towards making the event a success.
