Independence Day Celebration at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi
Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College & Hospital, Jhansi, celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic fervour, pride, and enthusiasm. The occasion was marked by a grand programme dedicated to the spirit of freedom, national service, and collective responsibility.
On this solemn occasion, heartfelt tributes were paid to the great freedom fighters and brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the independence of our nation.
The Principal, Prof. Sudhir Kumar, inspired everyone to remain committed to providing quality healthcare services to patients, delivering excellence in education to students, and developing Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College as a “Centre of Excellence.”
The programme was graced by the presence of Vice-Principal Prof. Mayank Singh, Dean Academics Prof. Nutan Agrawal, CMS Dr. Sachin Mahur, MS Dr. Khustar Haider, all Heads of Departments, senior and junior faculty members, residents, MBBS and paramedical students, matrons and nursing officers, ministerial staff, security personnel, and sanitation workers.
The main programme was conducted with grace and efficiency by Dr. Aradhana Kanakane, while the cultural programme was effectively compered by Dr. Om Shankar Chaurasia.
Patriotic cultural performances filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and energy. Ayush Sharma and Aryan Sehra captivated the audience with their inspiring patriotic songs.
As part of the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan (De-addiction Campaign), MBBS and paramedical students presented an impactful street play highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and spreading the message of awareness and a healthy, drug-free society.
The celebration was not merely an observance of Independence Day, but a reflection of our collective commitment to nation-building, patient care, education, discipline, and social responsibility.
