Nasha Mukti Awareness Rally Held at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi

A Nasha Mukti Awareness Rally was organized at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College and Hospital, Jhansi, on August 14, 2026, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sudhir Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Mayank Singh.

The rally was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and its physical, psychological, and social consequences. Students and members of the public were sensitized to the importance of staying away from drugs and other addictive substances and were encouraged to inspire others to adopt a healthy and substance-free lifestyle.

During the rally, impactful messages such as:

“Quit Addiction, Reconnect with Life”
“A Drug-Free Society, A Healthy Society”

were used to spread awareness and encourage people to choose a healthy, responsible, and addiction-free life.

The primary objective of the campaign was to protect young people from substance abuse and contribute towards building a healthy, aware, and drug-free society.

Approximately 532 MBBS, Paramedical, and Nursing students participated enthusiastically in the Nasha Mukti Awareness Rally, demonstrating their commitment towards spreading awareness against substance abuse.

The programme was organized under the aegis of the Socio-Cultural Society of Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College. The successful organization of the event was supported by Dr. Om Shankar Chaurasia, President, Socio-Cultural Society; Dr. Aradhana Kanakne, Vice-President; Dr. Pankaj Saunkia, President, NMO Jhansi Unit; Dr. Sunil Pandey, Organizing Secretary, NMO Kanpur Province; Priyansh, Secretary, Socio-Cultural Society; Dr. Raghavendra, along with hospital staff and nursing students, who participated with great enthusiasm.

The rally served as an important platform to spread the message of responsible, healthy, and addiction-free living among students and the wider community, reinforcing the collective commitment towards a Drug-Free Society.
