FOGSI–JOGI–PICSEP 2026 (Programme for Inculcating a Culture of Scientific Enquiry and Pursuit) was successfully organized on 5th July 2026 by the Jhansi Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, under the leadership of President Dr. Alka Sethi and Secretary Dr. Vidya Chaudhary, in association with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Principal, MLB Medical College, Jhansi, who emphasized the pivotal role of research in the progress of a nation and encouraged young doctors to actively engage in scientific enquiry and innovation.
The programme was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Sujata Dalvi, Editor-in-Chief, JOGI, and Dr. Deepti Gupta, National Faculty, JOGI, whose guidance and expertise inspired participants to strengthen their research and publication skills.
Eminent speakers including Dr. B. L. Verma, Dr. Rajiv Sinha, Dr. Vidya Chaudhary, Dr. Sippy Agrawal, Dr. Mehar Bano, Dr. Preeti Kanal, Dr. Sudha Sharma, Mr. Ravi Prakash Jha, and Dr. Preeti Prakash conducted highly interactive sessions, providing practical insights into the various aspects of medical research and scientific publication.
The workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 postgraduate students and faculty members, who actively engaged in discussions and interactive learning sessions. The programme successfully fostered a spirit of scientific enquiry and reinforced the importance of quality research in advancing evidence-based healthcare.
