Biostat Workshop
- The two days offline biostatistics workshop on “Sample Size Determination for Biomedical Studies” under the able guidance and direction of our respected Principal Sir, Shiv Kumar Sir was organized on 17th and 18th April 2026 by the Community Medicine Deptt. of MLB Medical College, Jhansi.
- The inaugural ceremony was performed by the honourable Nagar Aayukt Madam, Ms Akanksha Rana Madam along with eminent dignitaries like our Principal Sir (Prof. Shiv Kumar Sir), Vice Principal Sir, (Prof. Mayank Singh Sir), our respected former faculties of Community Medicine Deptt. including Dr. BL Verma Sir & Dr. Manju Govil Maam. The Nagar Aayukt Maam emphasized the importance of academic enhancement via workshops/CMEs etc. Our Principal sir reinforced about the quality research publications by faculties and PG students.
- The academic sessions of the workshop were delivered by esteemed speakers from Jhansi & outside Jhansi district. The Dr. BL Verma Sir from Jhansi district elaborated about the optimum sample size calculation and various study designs. The Dr. Anup Sir from SGPGI, Lucknow enlightened about the sample size calculation in cross-sectional and cohort studies. Our speaker Dr. Ashish Awasthi Sir from CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow has given enriched and interactive session about the overview of clinical trials and sample size calculation in it. The Ravi Prakash Jha Sir from NIHFW, New Delhi has enhanced the knowledge of the faculties and PGs towards sample size concepts in diagnostic and case control studies.
- The workshop was attended by the respected HODs and faculties and PGs of different departments of the college.
- The workshop concluded successfully with certificate distribution to registered participants on 18th April, 2026.
