Model Treatment Centre for Viral Hepatitis
The Model Treatment Centre for Viral Hepatitis was successfully initiated in our college on 1st January 2021 with the objective of strengthening prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services for viral hepatitis. Since its inception, a total of 1,772 patients have been registered for Hepatitis B and 469 patients for Hepatitis C, reflecting the institution’s active role in early detection and effective disease management.
Under the program, essential antiviral medications are provided to eligible patients free of cost as per national guidelines.
For Hepatitis B, the treatment options include :
- Tablet Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300 mg
- Tablet Entecavir 0.5 mg
- Tablet Entecavir 1 mg
For Hepatitis C, the available regimens include :
- Tablet Sofosbuvir 400 mg + Daclatasvir 60 mg
- Tablet Sofosbuvir 400 mg + Velpatasvir 100 mg
The centre functions under the guidance of Dr. Zaki Siddiqui (Nodal Officer). The program is efficiently managed by a dedicated team comprising :

- Mr. Vikas Verma (Data Entry Operator)
- Mr. Arish (Peer Educator)
Their coordinated efforts ensure seamless patient registration, counseling, medication dispensing, follow-up, and data management.
Through consistent service delivery and committed teamwork, our college continues to actively contribute toward the elimination of viral hepatitis, promoting improved health outcomes and enhanced community awareness.
