Departments of Microbiology
The Departments of Microbiology and TB & Chest organized a facility-level training session today on Airborne Infection Control under the guidance of the Central TB Division (NTEP), with technical support from FIND India.
The objective of the training was to strengthen infection prevention practices within the healthcare facility and enhance the capacity of nursing leadership in managing airborne infections effectively.
A total of thirty Sister In-charges from various clinical departments actively participated in the session. The training focused on best practices, standard protocols, and practical strategies for preventing and controlling airborne infections in hospital settings.
The program concluded with an address by the Principal Sir and CMS Sir, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing departments and motivated the participants to implement the learned practices in their respective units. Certificates of completion were presented to all participants in recognition of their successful participation.
Department of microbiology under chairmanship and guidance of Principal sir conducted 4 days hands on training of pathologist, microbiologist,non medical scientist and lab technicians of 11 districts for starting Viral load testing under NVHCP..
Department of microbiology has been designated one of the apex lab in UP which will train and then validate labs of these districts for viral load by molecular methods.
